Deeper Learning Authentic Audiences

Dealing with content explosion using the 'Audience - Motivation' loop.

In this session we look at making learning meaningful by developing an authentic audience for the learner. We will explore a number of techniques for using the iPad to increase learners motivation by providing a real audience for them to engage with.

Through this process we are also able to explore different methods to reduce the risk of 'Content Explosion' which can happen as iPads are rolled out on a 1 to 1 basis. Looking at deeper learning experiences and more reflective learning.

• Experience a few ways apps can be used in teaching and learning
• Look at situations when iPads are used as a tool for learning
• Look at ways students use iPads to gain subject understanding, express their understanding and share their learning with a wider audience
